Application and Deadlines

Step 1 - Gather required documents use the admission requirement checklist. Identify your regional center below . Download the instructions on how to send all of your documentation: Northern/Central Region or Southern Region

Apply to CalStateTEACH

All CSU applications are now submitted online at Cal State Apply. There are no paper applications. There is a required non-refundable application fee of $70. To apply to CalStateTEACH, follow these 3 steps.

Step 2 - Review our application instructions before submitting your application for admission to Cal State Teach.

Step 3 - Create an account on Cal State Apply (you will need a personal email address to verify with Cal State Apply).

Application Deadlines

Spring 2025 Open Date- May 28, 2024; Deadline- September 6, 2024

Summer 2025 Open Date- September 30, 2024; Deadline- January 31, 2025

Fall 2025 Open Date- September 30, 2024; Deadline- May 23, 2025

*Induction applications are only accepted for the fall term.

Term Dates

Fall 2024; August 26-December 6, 2024 (Census September 10, 2024)

Spring 2025; January 6-April 18, 2025 (Census January 21, 2025)

Summer 2025; May 5-August 8, 2025 (Census May 20, 2025)

If you are an employed teacher, you will be assigned to the county where you are employed. If you are a student teacher, you will be assigned by your county of residence.

*North/Central Regional Center (located at CSU, Fresno)
The following counties will be assigned to the North/Central Regional Center located on the CSU Fresno campus: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Fresno, Glenn, Humboldt, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Lake, Lassen, Madera, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Modoc, Mono, Napa,Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tulare, Tuolumne, Yolo, and Yuba.

* Southern Regional Center (located at CSU, Fresno )
The following counties will be assigned to the Southern Regional Center located on the CSU Los Angeles campus: Alameda, Imperial, Los Angeles, Monterey, Orange, Riverside, San Benito, San Bernardino, San Diego County, Santa Barbara and Ventura.
